Amanda Sleney

As a qualified Chartered Accountant, Amanda has nearly 30 years experience of working in Finance for a number of different organisations. She began her career in London and soon after qualifying moved out of practice and into industry working for a client, where she stayed until she moved back up to Yorkshire. After taking some time out to look after her young family she has spent the last 17 years working in the not-for-profit sector. This has included a community interest company which ran the award-winning Kirklees Warm Zone installing loft insulation and cavity wall insulation for free into eligible homes in Kirklees, as Head of Finance for the Piece Hall Trust while it was being renovated, and latterly as Head of Finance for Dixons Academies Trust. During her time with Dixons she has seen the Trust nearly double in size from 8 to 14 academies and is looking forward to being involved in the future planned growth of the Trust.
